Welcome to MV Elo Tracker. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the MV Elo Tracker Discord bot ("Bot", "Service", "we", "us", or "our"). By using our Bot, you agree to be bound by these Terms.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By adding the MV Elo Tracker bot to your Discord server or using any of its features, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these Terms, you must not use the Bot.

MV Elo Tracker is a Discord bot that provides:

  • Real-time tracking of Marvel Rivals player statistics and ELO rankings
  • Automatic notifications when tracked players complete ranked matches
  • Server leaderboards displaying competitive rankings
  • Integration with Marvel Rivals API for data retrieval

3. Eligibility

To use the Bot, you must:

  • Be at least 13 years old
  • Have the authority to add bots to Discord servers
  • Comply with Discord's Terms of Service
  • Have a valid Discord account

4. User Responsibilities

When using the Bot, you agree to:

  • Use the Bot only for its intended purpose
  • Not attempt to reverse engineer, decompile, or modify the Bot
  • Not use the Bot to violate any laws or regulations
  • Not use the Bot to harass, abuse, or harm others
  • Respect the privacy and rights of other users
  • Not attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Bot or its systems

5. Data Collection and Privacy

Our Bot collects and processes certain information to provide its services:

  • Discord server IDs and channel IDs for notification delivery
  • Marvel Rivals player names and UIDs for tracking purposes
  • Match data and statistics from the Marvel Rivals API
  • Bot usage logs for service improvement and troubleshooting

6. API Usage and Third-Party Services

The Bot integrates with:

  • Discord API: For bot functionality and message delivery
  • Marvel Rivals API: For player data and match information

We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, or content of third-party APIs. Your use of these services is subject to their respective terms of service.

7. Service Availability

We strive to maintain high service availability, but we do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted or error-free service
  • Specific response times for commands
  • Availability of all features at all times
  • Compatibility with all Discord server configurations

8. Rate Limiting

To ensure fair usage and system stability, the Bot implements rate limiting:

  • Commands may be limited per user or server
  • API requests are throttled to prevent abuse
  • Excessive usage may result in temporary restrictions

9. Intellectual Property

The Bot, including its code, design, and content, is owned by us and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the Bot's code

10. Disclaimers

THE BOT IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. WE DISCLAIM ALL WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

  • Warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose
  • Warranties that the service will be uninterrupted or error-free
  • Warranties regarding the accuracy of data or information provided

11. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL WE BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

13. Termination

We may terminate or suspend access to the Bot at any time, with or without cause, with or without notice. You may stop using the Bot at any time by removing it from your Discord server.

14. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of significant changes through:

  • Updates to this page
  • Bot notifications in Discord servers
  • Our official communication channels

Continued use of the Bot after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

15. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdiction where the Bot is operated, without regard to conflict of law principles.

16. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, the remaining provisions will continue to be valid and enforceable.
